Just an update for those of you not on Facebook...I had surgery today to have my gall bladder removed. The pain so far is a lot less than I imagined it would be....of course that will probably change by tomorrow morning. :o)It was a day surgery, so I'm home resting as much as possible. I'm not allowed to drive until at least Monday and no strenuous activity for 4 - 6 weeks...so I'll have to wait to start my weights training until after then. I have been enjoying my 4 to 6 mile walks as well as hiking the past few weeks, and it's nice to know I only have to wait a couple of days to get back in that routine!
As for my weight loss, some of you have seen my ticker at the top of the blog. I finally reached below 200 pounds for the first time since I was in the Army, so I was so excited for that! I weighed in at 198 pounds this morning! My goal reward for reaching under 200 pounds was a new pair of Shape-Ups...those shoes are INCREDIBLE! Very comfortable and they really help with my walks since I have arthritis. So it's a plus all around!
Well, I hope this finds you all well! I'll keep you posted, but so far, the surgery has been low key and low pain and hopefully it will fix the symptoms I was having.
Tootles!
