Starting Work And Other Knick Knacks...

I'm not feeling very crafty with my words today, so I'll do the best to update you all....

The big news is that I found a job...all on my own...I've always had help from an employment agency before. The pay sucks and the hours are worse, but it is income and has a potential to become more. This is the part where I have to be patient, work as hard as I can and hopefully things will work out. The job I found is at a landscaping facility that has it's own rock quarries (sound familiar anyone?). I work in retail sales, so getting to know the product has been the worst nightmare for me. Baker Rock didn't have even a quarter of the shapes, sizes and colors, so it's a bit flustrating to get a grab hold on things.

The kids wrapped up their bowling season a couple of weeks ago. Spencer really improved over the season, averaging over 124 the last two weeks. Emily has an interesting spin on her throw, and although I think she did great, she wasn't as excited to the awards ceremonies. They each got a trophie with their name on it. Bowling was especially good for Spencer because he met a new friend Nathan whom he's been hanging out with socially. That has been really good for his self esteem!

I got a chance to see my sister Colleen about a week ago! It was nice seeing family! She was in Denver visiting Brian who was there for work. So, we met up in Castle Rock for dinner, where I, of course, made it difficult on the waitress as it was one of the first times eating out since starting my diet. It was nice though to just catch up on things, find out how the neices and nephews are doing and catch up in general!

As for my weightloss, I have lost a total of 32.2 pounds as of this morning. It's fun because I'm finally starting to see it in my face and I went down a pant size. I catch Stacey checking my ass out a little too often now, so pretty much, that is the only thing I have to look out for! :o)

So, that's about it. We had planned a camping trip for my birthday/Easter weekend, but turns out I have to work 3 of the 4 days. So, I'm going to go out and spend the evening and then go home to sleep. I'm off that Sunday, so I'll be able to spend the night on Saturday night and go hiking with the troops on Sunday. We'll make it work...

Hope everyone is well!
