Houses, Jobs And More!

Well, it seems that a lot has happened since the last blog! So here goes!

We put an offer on a house on August 22nd. It is a short sale house, so it could take awhile for the seller's bank to approve and such, so we are almost at the 3 week period waiting. We were told this process could take up to 6 months to complete, so we are in for the long haul. We really love the house, though, and that makes it worth it. It is 3 stories, including the finished basement: 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2 car garage, family room, living room and game room. It will definitly fit our needs until at least the kids are out of school (college or otherwise!).

I got a new position at work. I went from retail to Job Cost Accountant. I am really enjoying the new challenges that this position brings. Although it is a Monday through Friday job, I am helping out in retail on the weekends (overtime of course!) because one of the girls quit. Anyhow, I'm just excited for the opportunity to work in an area I was trained in. Although business....it is learning the construction industry from a perspective I've never had before, so that makes it interesting.

Last post, Spencer was being evaluated for ADD. Well, he was determined to have it, so he went on a new medication for it. It has really helped both in his attitude and his acceptance of school. We are so proud of him! He chose bowling over soccer this year, and he was so excited to get a Turkey on one of his last games. He bowled a 133!!!! Way to go Spencer!

Emily is playing soccer again this year....the program sucks, the team sucks and the coaches barely know what they are doing.....but that isn't stopping Emily from shining on the field! She played wonderfully in her first game and scored the only goal for her team. Way to go Emily!

Stacey is still chuckin' away at school. His placement in the "broken" brigade has given him a lot of time to play Dad...picking the kids up for school and appointments and even catching a lunch or two with me. He is a GREAT dad! It has been hard to relinquish the control, but he has proven worthy!

Well, that's about it! I hope everyone is doing well!
